About Meredith Cope

I was in college, in Texas, when a friend of mine gave me a camera.
That’s where it all begin, and where I fell in love… in love with photography that is. I spent as much time as possible behind the lens of my camera, which hasn’t changed much to this day.

Shortly after I moved to Columbus, I had taken some portraits of my adorable niece, and a studio owner spotted them and hired me. I had been working in a flower shop doing wedding flowers, but when the opportunity to work in photography presented itself, I took it. I started at Soho Studio in Dublin, Ohio, taking portraits. I also began working with Banks Photography and Klatte Photography during that time, assisting with weddings. I already knew how much I loved to be a part of wedding days from when I had done flowers, so it was an easy transition into doing wedding photography.

In 2003, things really got stirred up with my life. I got married to a wonderful man named Jeff, who is my biggest fan, and it didn’t take him long to convince me that I should start my own business. So in May 2003, I stepped out and booked five weddings for that year. I was so excited, I was only 23 and I had already found, and was doing, my dream job!

In 2004, we added a sweet little girl to our family, Allie Jean. She is the light of our lives, and I am even more thankful for my career as a photographer, because it allows me to work from home throughout the week.

As I look back over the almost seven years of business, I am glad to see that my passion for the art has stayed intact, and that my style has been able to adapt along with current trends in wedding photography. I hope that my love for the art shows through my work. I realize that I am not just responsible to take pictures, but to capture memories of the day as it unfolds.

My style has photojournalistic influences, and blends together traditional style and contemporary flair, giving a well rounded and beautiful account of each wedding I have the honor of photographing.

I work with professional Nikon digital equipment.

I look forward to meeting you and if I can answer any questions, please give me a call or email.

Thanks!
